Variable and flexible: profi-air combination grill

Variable and flexible: profi-air combination grill

As from March 2020, FRÄNKISCHE will include a new external wall grill for apartment complex construction in its range of products for heat recovery ventilation (HRV). The profi-air combination grill in four designs boasts particularly easy and variable installation.

Apartment complex construction is an area where – due to scarcer living space – exact planning is of utmost importance when it comes to installing heat recovery ventilation. To offer installers enough flexibility when working at the construction site, FRÄNKISCHE has developed a new external wall grill. “The profi-air combination grill makes users’ work easier. It is particularly installation-friendly, can be installed very quickly, and can be easily adjusted to the conditions at the respective construction site,“ says Tobias Fraas, Product Manager of Heat Recovery Ventilation in FRÄNKISCHE's Building Technology Division.

Installers have to arrange the external wall grills at a distance of three metres from each other even in building projects with little space to prevent overflow. The new profi-air combination grill is an efficient solution to this challenge since it combines two functions: Both airflow directions – fresh air and exhaust air – can be connected to the grill. The special construction of the new HRV components prevents re-circulation of airflows from happening.

profi-air combination grill: horizontal and vertical installation

The stainless steel profi-air combination grill is available in four variants: as a horizontal and a vertical version in the dimensions of 125 and 160 mm respectively. The horizontal external wall grills have two additional features: The cuff spacing at the back of the grill can be easily adjusted as required. Due to this, the combination grill can be properly installed in any construction situation – quickly, flexibly and installation-friendly. In addition to this, installers decide already at the construction site from which of the two pipes the exhaust air is going to flow and which pipe is intended for fresh air intake – adjustment on site is a matter of just a few steps.

Perfect combination with profi-air ventilation units

The new combination grill expands the profi-air product family and can be ideally combined with profi-air 250 flex and profi-air 180 flat ventilation units. Both devices are fitted with a switchable air connection and therefore can be flexibly used during installation. The compact profi-air 250 flex designed for air volumes of up to 250 m3/h can be either installed on the floor or attached to the wall. FRÄNKISCHE has launched the slim profi-air 180 flat variant onto the market specifically for small housing units and residential construction since it is very well suited for ceiling installations.
