TrinkWV / Drinking Water Ordinance (Trinkwasserverordnung)

The Drinking Water Ordinance, aka the "Council Directive on the quality of water intended for human consumption” (Verordnung über die Qualität von Wasser für den menschlichen Gebrauch) has been issued by the Federal Ministry of Health with the consent of the Bundesrat. Among other things, it determines quality, treatment and monitoring of drinking water, as well as the responsibilities of water suppliers.
