We are the first supplier of eco-balanced electrical conduits.
Being the market leader, we are aware of our responsibility towards both our planet and future generations.
We are the first manufacturer to obtain the life cycle assessment (aka eco-balance) for electrical conduits by the association of building product manufacturers Institut Bauen und Umwelt e. V. (IBU). The FBY-EL-F and FFKuS-EM-F-105 corrugated plastic conduits are now available also in eco-balanced co2ntrol variants.
By using regenerates, we consume up to 60 per cent fewer fossil resources and saves approx. 47 per cent CO2. In order to compensate for our carbon dioxide emissions during manufacturing, we plant 2000 trees. This binds the CO2 emitted during the product life cycle.
The eco-balanced co2ntrol corrugated plastic conduits are listed in the database of the German Sustainable Building Council (Deutsche Gesellschaft für nachhaltiges Bauen – DGNB). If you are looking to install a sustainable and environmentally friendly electrical infrastructure, you can use FRÄNKISCHE products with a clear conscience.
co2ntrol® conduits bear the Type III eco-label
The standardised IBU eco-labels document all environmentally relevant features of construction products. The Type III eco-label is a proof for products, whose final purpose is achieved in combination with other components, for instance, on the building level. Review and verification of the label regarding completeness, plausibility and conformity with standards are performed by independent third parties.
All data are collected in a scientifically substantiated manner, and then verified by an independent, accredited body such as TÜV Rheinland. In doing so, the life cycle assessment is prepared for the entire lifespan of a product according to DIN EN ISO 14040 and 14044 – from production through transportation and installation to disposal.
The EPD provides transparent and complete information regarding the contents and different environmental effects of our co2ntrol conduits throughout their entire product life.

Analysis of the environmental impact throughout the entire product life

The topic of "sustainability" is gaining more and more importance as a mission statement – also in construction.
Acting sustainably is essential for FRÄNKISCHE to offer perspectives to future generations and to leave them a sound environment. Our structures, processes and systems are thus continuously reviewed and improved within the framework of our certified energy and environmental management systems. In doing so, we reduce CO2 emissions, the use of fossil resources and our amount of waste produced, cut our energy and water consumption, use natural resources sparingly, and develop products which save the environment.
We took great pains to analyse every single element and processing step – the formulation, packaging of materials delivered, dispatch of conduits, and even the consumption of compressed air and cooling water. We use regenerates to manufacture these corrugated plastic conduits. Due to this, we consume around 60 per cent fewer fossil resources such as mineral oil. The co2ntrol conduits help save up to 47 per cent carbon dioxide per running metre as compared to conventional installation conduits.
If you are looking to install a sustainable and environmentally friendly electrical infrastructure, you can use FRÄNKISCHE products with a clear conscience.
co2ntrol – responsible use of plastic
FRÄNKISCHE has been pioneering electrical installation since 1906 and developed the first continuously corrugated plastic conduit in 1959 for which the German Association for Electrical Technologies (VDE) even had to amend its standards. Today, we are the first to offer an eco-balanced conduit and hence prove that plastic does not need to be harmful to the environment but that a responsible use of the material is all that matters here. This is our cause.
